CAFTA-DR: CONFERENCE ON TEXTILES STANDARDS AND CUSTOMS PROCEDURES
In conjunction with the Asociación de la Industria de Vestuario y Textiles or the Association for the Textile and Apparel Industry of Guatemala (VESTEX) and Ministerio de Economía (MINECO), the Standards Alliance organized a June 23-24, 2015 workshop in Guatemala City, Guatemala. The 2-day workshop focused on the components of successful textiles trade and production and textile standards as well as the flammability requirements and customs procedures. Representatives from ANSI, Federal Trade Commission (FTC), the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and ASTM International shared U.S. perspectives.
